    Located just 3½ hours from Vancouver, B.C. Horse Vacations offers a unique riding package usually seen in Europe. Step into the saddle of a cooperative mountain horse and take an old fashioned journey, with all the comforts of the 21st century. With your horse as transportation, travel on backcountry trails between rural Inns, enjoying some of the best riding in Southern British Columbia. Whether you choose the overnight, three, five or seven day ride, this is an opportunity to step back and recharge in the wild forests of the Cascade Mountains.

    Enjoy the ride on horses that are well cared for, fit and selected for your experience level. With 4 to 6 hours of riding each day, these treks are for horse lovers. Having the coast to coast Trans-Canada Trail right in the “backyard” allows access to an extensive network of Crown Land trails. The area is mountainous but each day presents opportunities to cut loose with a nice canter, or to burn up a few miles with a ground eating trot.  All in all, come prepared for some varied and satisfying horseback riding.

    The lunches are a mixture of catered and saddlebag – just when you feel hungry, ride out of the forest to a find a table set under a tent gazebo and laden with food prepared with your preferences in mind. Or take a break and find a sun dappled log, savouring a gourmet lunch right out of the saddlebag.

    At the end of a full day of riding, you will overnight at a beautiful Inn. There you will find your luggage delivered, hot showers, comfortable rooms, plentiful meals, and to work out the tired riding muscles, hot tubs to relax in. A professional masseuse may be arranged for any evening, offering a variety of day spa services to complete the pampering. For extra indulgence, a Wine Taster’s Dinner hosted at the Jellicoe Station Inn may also be arranged.  However you choose to spend your evenings, a cozy bed to fall into is always the perfect end to a memorable day of horseback riding.

    These holidays are flexible and extra overnight accommodations may be added for ease of travel. BC Horse Vacations also offers a Paint & Ride holiday for artists wishing to paint out in the wilderness, or please ask for information about custom or romantic vacations.

    Riding packages are all inclusive with the exception of alcohol, day spa services, and wine tasting events.

* Please note: Though our B&B partners are small in number of rooms, they are gigantic in heart! No guest is ever expected to share a room with a stranger on the ride. Therefore, a ride is full when the rooms are all spoken for.
