    What happened to the geldings only policy at BCHV? Along came the yearling Celeste – the prettiest baby, all fawn eyes and square build. Her dad is a purebred 18.2 HH Percheron, her mom an Appendix Quarter Horse. Celeste is sweet, smart, curious, bold - and massive! One day we woke up & she’d “gone Percheron”, out bulking some of the saddle horses at the delicate age of 2. We’ve delighted in watching her grow up, wiling away her days bossing around all those besotted Boyz.

    Her loafing around days are numbered, though, as she is the 2008 Winter Project. She is scheduled to be started by a professional trainer, and then will be ridden out along the trails for shorter rides over the next year or so, until she’s ready for full-time employment.
