The Brooke Hospital

 

    A B.C. publication, “Pacific and Prairie Horse Journal” has run articles on the fantastic work that Brooke Hospital in London are doing to improve the welfare of working donkeys, horses & mules in developing countries. According to the Brooke Hospital website, each animal may be responsible for the financial welfare of 6 – 20 people. In Cairo, a working donkey has a life expectancy of 2 years. Brooke hospital is on a mission of non-judgemental education to teach owners to care for their animals humanely, as well as providing essential veterinary care.
