    Our special guest, 3D is on loan from an American Curly breeder in the Okanagan. He’s always had a job, working in a pack outfitter’s string for most of his career. He moved to our friend’s farm as a babysitter for the weanlings, and to be a part-time riding horse. Unfortunately, even part-time riding can be impossible when busy schedules won’t allow. They decided 3D didn’t like near retirement, or babysitting, and asked if we’d like him to spend the season with us.

    Well, 3D is a doll! He fit right in with the crew, never demanding, and before long, all the horses had decided he was a wonderful friend. He’s easy going, never missing a step in the mountains. He’s also very quiet and kind, the perfect horse for people who haven’t ridden much. Everything about him feels safe, and he’s quite a comfortable little fellow.

    3D is a bit of a wonder horse for people who have been riding exclusively in an arena, or are unable to log a lot of saddle time prior to joining us. He’s so dependable, doing whatever is asked, that he’s a pleasure for anyone to ride in rough country, and to gain a little confidence.

    Unfortunately, his owner’s also recognize what a sweetheart he is, and absolutely refuse to sell him, but we hear he’ll be back again next year for another working vacation!
